Each year, the World Health Organization (WHO) holds World No Tobacco Day on May 31 with the  Memorial Day . Their aim is to spread awareness about the dangers of tobacco use and how we can make the world a tobacco market. An estimated six million people die from tobacco-related diseases each year. And that number is expected to rise to more than 8 million by 2030. But this is no guarantee. The Sustainable Development Agenda aims to reduce the number of deaths due to non-communicable diseases by a third. Tobacco-related diseases are on the list, so when we reach the target, 2030 will be a year of celebration (oh yes!) – not just our health, but the size of our wallets.
